Periodically throughout the year the HPRD is in need adding or replacing staff.  Individuals are encouraged to complete an application with the Human Resource Department to assure you are on file at the time of a vacancy.

       Qualifications

             -Must have passed all swimming levels.

             - Ability to work with children ages 5-8

    General Time Frame of Swim Program

             -July-August, weekday mornings, 5 days a week (pending enrollment numbers)

Safety Town Teacher

(June  8:45am-11:30am, Woodlands Elementary School) – 7 days.

       -Working with children entering kindergarten, the teacher will assist participants in learning many aspects of safety through a standard curriculum, special guests and visual aids. In the classroom-style setting, the teacher will be assisted by 3-4 teen volunteers.

The Huron Parks and Recreation Department always accepts applications for employment or letters of interest for individuals who are interested in starting a new program as an independent contractor.  Both applications and letters of interest will be kept on file if the position is not vacant at the time of receipt.
